About the Builder

Brad J. MyersEvery one of the homes and renovations is very special to Bradley J. Myers, owner and President of Encore Contracting Corporation. Brad started in the manufacturing industry right out of high school in 1976. Building windows, insulated glass, all types of insulation products and structural insulated panels used in the pre-fab panelized industry. After building a number of panelized homes on-site for select customers, it became quite clear to him that he belonged in the home building industry. With the help of his Dad, who owned and operated the manufacturing facility, Brad ventured out on his own building energy efficient panelized homes, and soon moved into the Custom Home area. Before you know it, land acquisition and development came next. He became very involved in the local Home Building Association, eventually being voted in as President of that Association, as well as positions on the state level and onto becoming a Director of The National Association of Home Builders, NAHB. He was a member of The Builder 20 Club, and has been featured in 2 National Trade Magazines.

Brad has learned some some voluble lessons over the years. One for instance," Do more than what you say you're going to." Involve the customer "customers are encouraged to visit the job site, to see for themselves all of the behind the wall benefits that go into each and every project, they really enjoy that" Brad says, "because we involve the customer so much, we enable them to make better decisions".

Brad retired from building in 2002 after his two older children Danielle and Jeremy went off to serve their country in the Navy, moving to Florida with wife Bonnie and son, Matthew, age 12. He was able to spend a lot more time with Matthew preparing him to golf his way into college and maybe eventually turn professional after school.

In 2006, Brad and Bonnie decided to go back into the construction business and in 2007 after much study of the Florida building codes and business law, Brad successfully passed the extensive licensure testing. With a no job too small attitude, Brad and Bonnie were off and running.

One of the biggest benefits of working with Brad is his free design service.
